Key & HWID policy
Let buyers reset their HWID and transfer keys themselves, remind them before keys expire, and catch shared keys.
All of this lives in Settings → Key format, below the key format itself.
HWID resets
Let buyers move their key to a new device themselves instead of asking you. You can always reset any key from Keys.
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Self-service on the key page | Buyers enter their key at https://santiauth.com/key and reset the HWID with one click. |
| Resets per key | How many resets a key gets; 0 = unlimited. |
| Cooldown between resets | No cooldown, 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. |
The same limits apply to Reset HWID on the Discord bot panel and /key reset-hwid.
Key lifecycle
Expiry reminders in Discord DMs
Keys with a Discord holder get a DM from your bot before they expire — 24 hours before, 1 hour before, or both.
Key transfers
Key transfers on the key page let buyers release their key or hand it to another Discord account. Device and Roblox bindings are cleared on transfer.
- Transfer cooldown — none, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days or 30 days between transfers.
- New key on transfer — issue a fresh key value to the new holder.
Key sharing alerts
Flag keys that look shared:
- Distinct IPs per hour — used from too many IPs.
- Other-device tries per hour — tried from other devices too often.
Alerts land in Keys → Sharing alerts (filter Open / Resolved / All) and in your suspicious-activity notifications. From there you can disable the key or ban the holder.
